Basil

Basil is the king of summer herbs; in fact its name comes from the Latin word "basilicum" and from Greek "basilikon phyton" that means "royal and majestic plant". Moreover "basileus" means "king". Basil is high in vitamins, mineral salts, flavonoids and antioxidant, useful for protecting our body from ageing and for opposing the free radicals' action.
